I love my .5mm pencil too haha. I've never been able to stand anything else for traditional line art.
I love the cintiq for throw-away studies so I don't waste paper. I also love it for my perspective class I'm in right now - I can't stand working with miles of taped together paper. I know some people do fantastic digital sketches, so I'm trying to see what I can do better for line quality.
Right now for traditional I'm drawing in pen, to learn not to make mistakes and not erase, but again I don't like the line quality I'm producing yet... I only like my pencil haha.
I feel like I'm learning a lot though, just in my first few classes at the foundation level, so hopefully I'll produce some stuff worth posting soon.
Gotta give a rest area in the design , otherwise it would be too busy! It only takes about 2-3 hours for these sort of high shadow-renderage, i just work on his story while shading so i can turn my brain off
